Here are members of the community that are contributing this year:
Catherine Moon Lynx has been a student of spirit most of her life. Her determination for healing and her search for the connection and aliveness that is a gift of Spirit has led her down profound paths.Catherine Moon Lynx’s deepest exploration has been in the Shamanic tradition of Carlos Castenada and other Mayan teachings. She has been studying the ways of shamanism for 15 years and teaching for 8 years. A Sweat Lodge Leader, a Crystal Doctor and a student of Shamanic Coaching, are some of the services Catherine has to offer. In Shamanism, Moon Lynx has frequently found herself pushed beyond what she thought she needed or wanted to do. She has consistently discovered in the challenge a lesson that enriched her and deepened her experience of Life and her Soul’s journey.
The Moon in its cycles reminds Catherine that even when she thinks she has it all figured out, Life will change it all again. The Lynx is a powerful hunter that usually operates quietly and in unseen ways. Having this Animal as part of her Power Name has helped her appreciate that her essentially quiet nature still holds power and offers the gift of mystery.
Rob Night Wolf For most of his adult life Rob Night Wolf has been a construction worker with a strong dose of curiosity. It is the mystery of life that fuels his fire. Anthropology, psychology, gardening and kayaking are just a few of his interests. For him, pleasure can come through the simple act of taking hammer and nail and building something. It is in the act of building Rob experiences the mystery and satisfaction of creation.
Creation as such is not always limited to building a physical structure. It is through the building of his dreams that Night Wolf feeds his spiritual hungers. He asks, is there anything more magical (and challenging) than an overnight ceremony, on the land, far, far away from the bustle of the city. A human spirit, Mother Earth, the stars above, together. Beautiful.
Like the Wolf, Rob has a quiet tenacity and endurance while enjoying being part of a family, a community. Like the Night he tends to be more comfortable in the background yet maintaining a strong presence that can be palpably felt.
Tara Porter was brought up in a diverse community of artists, musicians and healers - setting the stage for her life-long passions. This environment allowed for many opportunities to deepen her studies and involvement with dance, music, theatre, visual arts and yoga. She was first introduced to yoga in 1998 - taking a Sivananda Hatha class with her family in a Community College basement in Nova Scotia. With a committed dance and theatre involvement from her youth - practising yoga became a natural and complimentary practice to her passions.
The passion has continued to deepen and blossom over the years. She took her Kripalu Yoga Dance certification in the Berkshires of Massachusetts at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2007/08 and completed her Hatha Teacher Training at the Sivananda Ashram in Val Morin, Quebec in 2008. Tara is actively involved with the practice of Bhakti Yoga (yoga of Devotion) and Naad Yoga (Yoga of Sound) - leading Kirtans in Montreal and Ottawa on a regular basis. Tara is a trained vocalist through the Royal Conservatory of Music; and has over 5 years experience instructing various styles of dance. As an artist, performer and teacher - Yoga has allowed her to unite the strength of connection between body and movement, mind awareness and voice, and spirit and creativity.

Brooke Robitaille (Mystique) As a dancer and creative artist over the years I have developed a deep passion for belly dance and its ability to heal the body. I use Belly Dance as an expression of art and by using it as a visual representation of the music. As one who shares the story of the music I interact with the audience. I include all of these components to my performances and to the classes that I teach. By studying under different Dance teachers such as, Tracey Vibert, Leslie M., and Anne-Marie Gaston, I have been able to explore and appreciate the technical side of dance along with the spiritual and healing elements of this art. Having researched many genres, methods and styles, I pride myself in providing a unique range of dance knowledge and expression.
The dance that arises from my influences is a powerful yet graceful fusion of Indian Temple Dance, Tribal Belly Dance, Ballet and Traditional Middle Eastern Belly dance. These dance styles combined make a signature style of dance allowing for energy to be transformed through movement to uplift the self in body, mind and spirit.
